Colorado River Series
Reservoir | 2019 | Needle-Felted Wool on Canvas
Riverbed | 2019 | Needle-Felted Wool on Canvas
Pulse Flow | 2019 | Needle-Felted Wool on Canvas
These works are part of a series that examine the use of the Colorado river and the impact of over-usage on the environment. Each of the felted paintings depicts the Colorado River in different stages with the imprint of human engineering represented through the use of the grid and geometric shapes in blue. Each painting is created in grey hues using a single needle to reference how water rights and water use are nuanced and are not simply a black and white issue.
All of these pieces have been sold.
